Rest Ashored

We had a great visit, and this house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was very well stocked- we cooked/grilled at home every night and never found ourselves needing anything. A knife sharpener would be the only tool that might be nice to add. There were even children's cups/plates/utensils, which was a nice surprise for us (we have a 1 and 3 yr old). Porch space was easy to close off for kid play and safety. We could see the ocean from the front porch and the walk to the beach was SO short and easy. Even with small children in tow. The location was nice and not very crowded when we were there (late May). Plenty of beach gear/toys in the laundry room, too. And the washer/dryer got the job done. Layout-wise, the house worked great. Kitchen/living space in the middle with bedrooms and bathrooms flanking the side. The nest thermostat made it easy to set and keep the temp inside. Floors were SO easy to clean. A nice feature when cleaning up after toddlers. One of the bathrooms had a stool, so our 3yr old could maneuver in there by himself. There was even a pack and play in the bunk room (we brought own, so didn’t use). Plenty of extra pillows in the closets, and the living room furniture was comfy. Pool was nice, pool area was spacious with good sun and shade options. Concrete floors did get slippery when wet, but that’s to be expected. Shower heads on the outdoor showers (there are 2) were great! Beds were perfectly fine, though if you sleep hot, know you may want to take off the foam topper. I found it comfortable, my husband found it hot. We LOVED the Emerald Isle parks- they were so great! For big kids and littles. We rented bikes and rode to a park quite a bit. Overall a wonderful stay in large part due to this rental. Highly recommend.

It was heavenly! The house was close to the beach, had an in-ground pool and was perfect for me, my husband and son and my daughter and her children. We wanted to stay much longer!
