Isle Stay was perfect for our family summer vacation. Plenty of room for everyone. The sun porch was wonderful. The deck was perfect with plenty of chairs for everyone. Thanks Again for a great stay
Isle Stay, Let them take you away...…….This is an awesome property, location, soul, art, amenities and Shorewood make everything easy. The owners leave great information and tips. They have all the little things to you, so you can pretty much show up with your provisions. The sunrises are only steps away to a glorious beach, quiet and beautiful! Get there.
Have been staying at Isle Stay every year for about 15 years, great place kitchen well equipped , clean and is like coming home every year for 11 women that has been friends for 30 plus years!
10 women that r friends have been staying in this house at least 10or more years the staff at shorewood is excellent to work with and the house is perfect
Our family and friends (12 in total) had a glorious week at Isle Stay. We had perfect weather, enjoyable water temp with a nice breeze and lots of sunshine. But, had it become a stormy week - that would have been okay as Isle Stay was perfect for relaxing, playing cards and board games in the sun room, building puzzles on the coffee table, big family meals at the kitchen table, pool tournaments on the first level and plenty of room to escape for a quiet nap. I was a little hesitant that the house would not be as great as it looks in the photos, but the truth is - it was even better than expected. Little things like the main floor was more open and the bedrooms were bigger than expected. The kitchen is soooooooo well stocked! Don't worry about bringing anything kitchen wise. Equipped with two toasters, two coffee pots, lots and lots of plates, mugs, glasses, dishes, serving platters, bowls, pots, pans... you name it! Even a crock pot! This was our first time at Emerald Isle and we will definitely return.
I can't imagine a more perfect family vacation. This roomy and well-appointed house, right on the beach, brought together four families from four different states (including very small children) - giving us room to eat and play together, and room to have private time as well. The views are breathtaking, the location is convenient, the beach is not crowded, it could not have been better. Only a couple things could be considered lacking, but they are so minimal, they hardly bear mentioning. We'd read someone else's review that suggested a non-stick fry pan, so we brought ours along, and were glad we did. The dryer only worked if set on the highest setting and left to run for a while - but we reported that to management, and considering how responsive they were about everything else, I'm sure the dryer has been addressed by now. There really is very little shade when you sit on the deck, so it might be helpful to bring along a clamp on umbrella for the deck chairs if you want to be outside, but out of the sun. Again, we loved every minute of our stay.
We had an excellent time this year, as always. It is our sixth rental year and second time at Isle Stay. We loved it and the older kids love the game room, it is a definite plus! Our only regret is that there isn't a good week available for us next year!!!
This was our 7th time to return to isle stay. The house is very well located on a very uncrowded portion of the beach. We found it to be immaculate on this visit. There are 11 in our family and there was plenty of space for all. We especially love the sun room which has vistas of the sea in 3 directions ,the very large deck.and the great room which includes a dinning table that can accomodate our entire family. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the tableware and cooking utensils anyone could need. New owners have made annual upgrades to the property. We are already booked again for next summer
we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the island. we had a terrific time!
We were scheduled for a less-expensive home, but thankfully the aC went out in that one and we were moved to Isle Stay. The house was very, very nice, and pretty much ideal in every way. It was our 10th anniversary trip, and we were there to renew our vows on the beach, and so we had our two kids (9 months and 2.5 years), both grandmothers, and lots of friends with us. There was plenty of space for everyone, and it worked out wonderfully. What a great house. My only non-5-star review item is value. We got the house for much, much less than it was listed at, since we were moved over at the last minute because of the broken aC. For full price, there's no way we could have afforded it. For those that can, however, I definitely recommend it.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is great and we had plenty of room. The game room was a nice plus. The folks at Shorewoood were very helpful and good to work with.
We have been dealing with Shorewood Real Estate for 5 years and will continue to do so to rent in Emerald Isle. We rented Isle Stay in July of 2008 and renting it again for August of 2010. The home has a wonderful lay out and the pool table was used day and night. We love Emerald Isle because it is a totally relaxing experience for us, very laid back and unrushed. We loved the house because we bring as many of our family that can come and it accomodated all! We love the deck and the area of the beach the house is on. We are looking forward to next summer already!
Our stay with the kids and grandkids was wonderful and the best we've had in a four year run of Memorial Day weeks. Quick and easy beach access is a must for the little ones and the considerate drivers on Ocean Dr. made daily biking safe, even for the young inexperienced riders. We loved the kitchen, ate in and also used the outside grill much to our satisfaction. The 'glassed in' room was a focal point for games reading or just watching the ocean when the weather didn't cooperate. We've already booked for next year.
