Beautiful spacious beachfront home with spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the ocean

The pictures do not do full justice to this beautiful home. We stayed for a month and needed lots of room for all the supplies we brought.  The "pantry room" off the kitchen gave us the extra room we needed after we filled the ample shelves.  The seating in the main level (3rd floor) is very comfortable and will accommodate all the guests that will fit in the 5 bedrooms, with a few more besides.  Having a huge main living area with 10 foot ceilings, was a delight.  Our readers that stayed there enjoyed the ample library of books.  The fishermen enjoyed that subcollection of their books.

With 4 stories having an elevator to move luggage was a delight. I came with a boat.  Having hose connection and electrical outlets outside the front door allowed me to hose off my boat and recharge my trolling motor batteries conveniently. It is a home with "all the amenities".

Shorewood Management.

We had a few small issues that required Shorewood help.  They were usually available in person on the phone and ready with instructions as needed.  We had trouble locking one of the sliding doors to one of their 3 decks.  They came promptly, wearing a mask the entire time they were there and kept it on while they were in the house. From my first contact with them through checkout and beyond (I left an item there) they were a pleasure to deal with.  I strongly recommend them to handle your vacation needs

Stunning home!

"Wow! Sandy Shores was an absolutely beautiful house. When I initially walked in, my first impression was that the online pictures did not do it justice….it was even better in person (even though the pics were great). The main living/kitchen area was so spacious with expansive, unobstructed 180° views of the ocean. This house is fairly new and it has not been beat to death by renters yet. It was also one of the cleanest rentals I’ve stayed at; housekeeping did a bang up job. The furnishings and building materials used were very high quality and stylish. Truly everything from the ceiling to the floors was beautiful. Our favorite things….. -proximity to the ocean and views from all 3 levels that were not blocked by dunes -the outdoor spaces were gorgeous. We ate dinner on the deck every night that we cooked. There is seating for 12 out there. There isn’t a restaurant around with better atmosphere for dining al fresco than your very own deck. -Every bedroom was spacious, with comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated -3 King masters was perfect as we had 3 families -The kitchen was very well equipped. Tons of pots and pans, glasses, Tupperware, coffee pot and Keurig, double oven, 6 burner gas stove, nice pantry -The rec room was awesome. The kids loved the pool table. -The hot tub was high end and spotless -Fire pit in the back and grill was pretty good -Outdoor hoses at both levels of entry and a nice outdoor shower -Books and games galore The only negatives/constructive criticisms we have are: -There is most certainly an issue with the hot water. The 2 oceanfront masters and the rec room showers all provide hot water for about 3min then it turns freezing cold. The water pressure is fairly low in those, too. We did report this early on in our stay and although the management company was very nice and responsive, they were unable to resolve prior to our exit. I reported this on Monday and maintenance came on Tuesday but said a plumber was needed. The plumber did not come until Friday and he said he would be fixing it after we left on Saturday. I ended up showering in the outdoor shower most of the week because water pressure and temp were great out there. The other couple affected used the kids/hall bathroom. -This house is advertised as a 5 bedroom plus 2 bonus rooms. We were pleasantly surprised to find that those bonus rooms were actually 2 very nice sized private rooms. One of them is the “shark room” with the 2 twins and a double. The other was the one with a pull out couch and a desk. We all felt that it would better serve renters to furnish with an actual bed or bunk set instead of the couch. The house is so big, it can handle sleeping more people and there are so many spaces to spread out, that it really is not a functional use of space. Our group used it as a bedroom but could feel the springs in the mattress so luckily had brought an air mattress to use instead. This could either be a nice queen room or would probably even hold 2 twin/twin bunks. The shark room could also easily fit bunks and sleep more kids. Between the kitchen bar and tables, there is seating for 18, so no reason to only sleep 16 in actual beds (not counting sleeper sofas). -It would’ve been nice if the hot tub was on the rec room deck where you could enjoy the view. I think we would have used it more had it not been in the lowest level under the deck. It is private in that space, but we’d have preferred the view:) I also want to say that Dick with Shorewood was a joy to talk to every time I spoke with him during the rental and check in process. In summary, this house is definitely 5 stars and a joy to vacation at. I thought I read somewhere that we would be offered an early booking option for next year after checkout…..and for the first time ever, we might actually do that. We’ve vacationed all over and stayed at many properties because we usually like to try new things, but this house is special and I’d stay there again without hesitation. "

Incredible house! Perfect for large family reunion

"Beautiful, clean, very spacious house. All were comfortable with more than enough space. It had a spacious, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of eating space indoors and out. Gorgeous ocean views. Nice, functioning outdoor gas grill under the house, gas cooktop, Two ovens! Beautiful decks, quick nice walk directly out to the beach with covered gazebo. Outdoor shower and great storage space under the deck by the shower for all your sand toys and boogie boards. No garage access, so plan for that. 8 cars total should be able to fit. Elevator is great for those who have trouble with a lot of stairs. There are four floors so that is helpful. 2 washer/dryers!! Full bar downstairs and pool table. Plenty of bathrooms. Close to everything. It was perfect for all of our needs. We hope to stay here again next year!"

Great Vacation Home

"Our extended family had a great time at Sandy Shores. The home is beautiful and there was plenty of space to spread out. My favorite spot was the back deck with gorgeous ocean views. We did have one issue and that was the water heater. There was not enough warm water for all of us to get warm showers. We were told it had been checked and they couldn’t find anything wrong but we still had cold showers all week. Hopefully this will be fixed before our next visit to Emerald Isle because we would love to stay here again."

Response from Shorewood Real Estate:

The hot water heater was assessed by a local, licensed plumber this past Monday and confirmed there are no issues with the hot water. It was confirmed that the knobs for one shower control were backwards, so when the knob is positioned for hot- cold water would run and vice versus. This is on schedule to be switched around. Rest assured, all is good with the hot water at Sandy Shores!

We had a fantastic stay here and would like to book in the future. Beautiful large house with exceptional rooms, furnishings, and high ceilings. Great views of the ocean and an easy walk out the Backdoor to a perfect quiet beach. Exceptional stay at a very nice beach house.
